Vietnamese Youth Model United Nations by Khanh Ton | July 2019

“It has been a wonderful journey and after my attendance at the National Model United Nations conference in Washington DC last November, I was incredibly inspired to recreate the same dynamic performing opportunity for students across Vietnam”. Khanh

CRC Ambassador Khanh built a Model United Nations conference within her hometown in Vietman that aims to involve the local community. Khanh was promoted to the position of Deputy Secretary General of the VYMUN (Vietnamese Youth Model United Nations) conference of 2019. After being given these tools in Florida,

The opening ceremony of VYMUN 2019 took place on July 26, 2019. Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Son from the Vietnamese military appeared as a guest. Participants included many young people from across the city of Hanoi and several other provinces and cities who shared their personal experiences about how they learned to better contribute to society through diplomacy. "The four-day-three-night simulated conference at the Vietnamese Youth Model United Nations 2019 has officially concluded with a delightful Prom Night. Throughout this precious period of time, we have witnessed the serious yet exciting performance during the committee sessions as well as fruitful conversations and the stemming of many valuable friendships. A thank-you would never fully make up for the journey that our delegates and sponsors, like the Leon Charney Resolution Center, have embarked on with us and we are so happy to have shared this short yet meaningful occasion with you." — Khanh
