Getting to Know Noa Dar | By Shana Hazboun on August Newsletter 2022

  • Tell us a little about yourself? Your name, age, and how you came to know about the Charney Resolution Center.
I'm Noa, I am from Israel and I am 17 years old. I joined EMIS, the school for peace and sustainability in the Middle East in my senior year, and learned about the Charney Resolution Centre through their activity at the school and collaboration with EMIS.

  • What’s the weirdest food you have eaten?
The falafel in London is never served with hummus but with sweet chilli, disgusting...

  • Do you have any hidden talents?
I learned to juggle in grade 5 but that's pretty much it.

  • An interesting fact about yourself?
Hmm... I guess I'm not that interesting a person... I have two younger siblings and a dog named after Perry the Platypus

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I hope to be studying at university, probably mathematics. Where? I have no idea yet.

  • What will your position be as an intern at CRC?
I will be working with the Charney Resolution Centre at EMIS, coordinating the mediation course at the school and working on the Peace Simulation that will take place later in the year together with Shammah

  • What is your attitude towards this internship? What are some things you are looking forward to?
I am looking forward to hear from my colleagues about their ideas on solving conflicts and more importantly to hear from students about their opinions and suggestions as I am really hoping to expand my knowledge and views about the conflict in the Middle East and others conflicts around the world

  • How will you grow as a person from this experience?
I hope to become more open minded and learn from the diverse people that are about to take part in the CRC's activities in the upcoming year and learn more about what exactly my opinion is on the subject

  • What is one question you would like to answer through this internship?
How big an impact can we as individuals have on global conflicts?
