This is a summary of all the mediation course meetings in 2024. The Mediation Leadership Course developed awareness and understanding of different points of view in conflicts, taught skills for dealing with conflict situations, trained students to resolve disputes through mediation, expanded their management of conflict resolution, created infrastructure for using mediation and integrative negotiation, and established a professional mediation team at the school. The sessions included numerous discussions, role-playing games, and exercises to illustrate conflicts and ways of resolving them through mediation.
The training program is based on the concepts and tools of our mediation course, which is intended to train mediators to help parties in conflict willingly and cooperatively negotiate an agreement without coercion or violence.
The mediation process provides a neutral forum for the parties to express their standpoints, feelings, and unique needs, and encourages them to come up with win-win solutions (rather than win-lose). The mediation process focuses on the future and the relationship between the parties, and avoids steps of punishment, revenge, and accusations. Mediation offers an applicable and efficient professional tool for conflict resolution, as well as a way of life.
Tzili Charney "The tool of mediation between people in conflict is one of the most important, effective, and successful methods for resolving disputes. As a center for conflict resolution, we would like who participated who participated in the course to receive tools for dealing with conflict situations in life in general, and as future leaders in particular. If people were able to overcome significant emotional difficulties and manage to see the needs of others, we would be living in a world with far fewer conflicts."
