3nd Congress of the People in Ein Karem, Jerusalem
Ein Karem, which is located within Jerusalem District, is the perfect place for people-to-people interaction. On November 29, this small neighborhood, which is well-known for its musical events, hosted a negotiation festival. About 120 founding members of the Israeli-Palestinian Congress of the People, youth and adults, gathered to continue negotiating alternative solutions to the conflict. The program included an interactive workshop in Non-Violent communication for the high school students.
The assembly negotiated alternative solutions to the conflict around six negotiating tables (three for adults and three for high-school students). A lot of progress have been made. Discussions will continue on January 24 in the Truman Institute of the Hebrew University.
The final agreements will be presented at the first convention of the Congress of the People, which will take place on April 3rd in Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv. The convention invites hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians to discuss alternative solutions and to vote for their favorite solution in ballot boxes.
